Monitoring visit for The Erasmus + Project "EGREEN" at The University of Jordan

The National Erasmus+ office (NEO) in Jordan conducted a monitoring visit on November 27, 2017, for the Erasmus+ project " EGREEN: Development of Environmental Engineering and injection of climate change concept for Undergraduate curriculum: EU experience for Jordan and Syria " at the School of Engineering-The University of Jordan (UJ).

The event was attended by “EGREEN” team members at the University of Jordan, including faculty members from different faculties, and the administrative and technical staff. In addition to representatives from the project partners in Jordan including Jordan University of Science and Technology, The German-Jordanian University, Al al-Bayt University, Mutah University, and Al-Zaytoonah University.

The Monitoring visit was started by a presentation about status and progress of “EGREEN” project and management procedures, delivered by the General project coordinator, Prof. Ahmed Al-Salaymeh, followed by presentations about each work packages in depth and the different aspects of project implementation delivered by representatives from partner universities. In addition, an open discussion with faculty members from the partner universities was conducted.

At the end of the meeting; a constructive feedback on the project was delivered from the NEO office.

It's worth mentioning that “EGREEN” project aims to develop and modernize environmental and climate change courses for undergraduate students following the Bologna Process. In addition, it aims to introduce the e-learning and ECTS system in the partner universities, to build the capacities of the faculty members, technical assistants and students in the field of environment and climate change, and to establish a collaboration with companies, public administrations and Universities.
