On the dates spanning October 17th to October 21st, 2022, a significant gathering unfolded at University College Limburg in Belgium. This event brought together a total of 12 participants hailing from the esteemed partners of JO (Jordan) and TU (Tunisia). Their united purpose was to embark on an insightful journey during a 5-day immersive training program.
The focal point of this event was the Healing Project, a collaborative initiative aimed at weaving together the strengths and wisdom of these diverse partners. Over the course of these transformative days, the participants engaged in rich interactions and knowledge exchanges, fostering an environment of mutual learning and inspiration. Each participant left with a metaphorical backpack, filled to the brim with newfound knowledge and an ignited sense of creativity.
A pivotal aspect of the Healing Project was the joint effort between the Jordanian and Tunisian partners, both deeply entrenched within the Era+ project. Their objective was crystal clear: to design an innovative Art Therapy training program that harmonized seamlessly with the contours of the European education system. This integration of art, therapy, and education symbolized a cross-cultural bridge of profound significance.
The culmination of this event took place at the renowned Lemmens instituut Leuven, a perfect setting for the artistic crescendo that this event entailed. Here, the participants delved into the captivating world of sound painting, venturing into improvisation and exploring avenues beyond. Laughter echoed through the hallways, creativity was unshackled, and the air was thick with the spirit of collaboration.
As the week progressed, the participants were treated to a dynamic program, each day punctuated with engaging field visits, enlightening sessions, and heartwarming moments. Amidst the exchange of ideas and perspectives, the participants found themselves not only immersed in the content of the training but also in the rhythms of laughter, dance, and song. A constant companion during these spirited interactions was the fragrant aroma of tea, generously accompanied by delightful sweets that found their way from the Tunisian corner.
In summation, the week-long event at University College Limburg in Belgium marked not just a gathering, but a milestone in cross-cultural collaboration and creative exploration. A diverse tapestry of experiences was woven, uniting individuals from different corners of the world under the umbrella of the Healing Project. With an unmistakable air of success and fulfillment, this event can rightfully be labeled as a triumph, and its memories are destined to endure in the hearts and minds of all those who were fortunate enough to partake.
