Against the backdrop of historic Athens, Greece, an exceptional training workshop unfolded at the esteemed National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). The period from June 19th to 30th, 2023 marked an immersive experience that resonated with 13 dedicated students from the partnership of JO (Jordan) and TU (Tunisia).This training workshop, meticulously crafted, aimed to channel the vigor of these aspiring students into the realm of Art Therapy.
Within the hallowed halls of NKUA, these young minds embarked on a transformative journey, driven by the shared objective of honing their abilities and enhancing their grasp of the intricate tapestry of Art Therapy.The essence of this workshop was a dedication to capacity building. It was a concerted effort to nurture and empower the HEALING students from Jordanian and Tunisian universities, each with a fervent desire to elevate their understanding and proficiency in the domain of Art Therapy.
With a blend of theoretical insights and practical applications, the participants were primed to grow not just as students but as advocates of healing through art.The training program was an orchestration of diverse activities, enlightening lectures, and insightful visits, meticulously designed to offer a holistic learning experience. From delving into the theoretical underpinnings of Art Therapy to immersing in hands-on exercises, each day unveiled new dimensions of learning.Intriguingly, the workshop's focus intertwined seamlessly with the clusters that NKUA had contributed to shaping:Cluster 17: Skills Development: This cluster's resonance with the training was palpable. It was a perfect conduit for fostering skill enhancement among the participants, equipping them with the tools necessary to navigate the multifaceted landscape of Art Therapy.Cluster 18: Practicum: The heart of learning lies in its application. Cluster 18 provided the canvas for practical exploration, allowing the students to put theory into practice, bridging the gap between knowledge and hands-on experience.As the days of the training workshop unfolded, the students found themselves not merely absorbing information but also crafting the foundations of their futures.
