In the just-released QS University Rankings: Arab Region 2016, UJ maintained first rank in Jordan and eighth in the Arab region.

The QS University Rankings: Arab Region 2016 is a ranking of the top-performing institutions in this part of the world. First published as a pilot edition in 2014, the ranking highlights the region’s top 100 universities.

 About 3720 academics and 2489 employers have contributed views for the new ranking, which takes into account staffing levels, the proportion of academics with a PhD, the number of research papers per faculty member and the number of citations per paper, as well as the proportions of international faculty and students, and web impact.

Almost 270 institutions from 21 countries across the Arab region were evaluated by QS, 192 were ranked this year. Of these, 100 appear in the published ranking.
