Diplomatic Studies: The program aims to provide specialized in diplomatic studies  in the areas of political institutions and precautions and have knowledge in the field of theories of relations, foreign policy and international law and the tools of diplomacy: negotiation and conflict resolution tools.
Conflict Resoultion: The program aims to develop students' understanding of practices and procedures in the management and conflict resolution. And introduce them to practice negotiation skills, conflict resolution, and increase awareness of the key issues of the conflict, and promote methods of conflict resolution. It also aims to train them on the implementation of research projects in conflict resolution, and prepare them to work in political organizations, diplomatic, governmental and international organizations.

Human Right and Human Developments: The program was established on 2008 in order to spread and deepen the culture of human rights and promote the protection of human rights and achieve advanced levels in the field of human development in general.
Cooperation of the Jordanian, European and with the leading universities in the areas of human rights and human development program seeks to prepare a generation of researchers distinguished practitioners innovators in the areas of human rights and human development, the program relies global discourse of contemporary and modern scientific theories that integrate human rights as a fundamental criterion in the measures of human development in order to achievement of human security overall. To achieve this program provides innovative solutions and creative theories to address the methodological challenges and theoretical and applied research to achieve its objectives and sympathetic to the existing entrance to multi-science in the social sciences as a general framework for the program.

American Studies: is the first program of its kind and unique in the academic field Jordanian and regional alike, especially in the field of graduate studies. The advantage of this program is dominated by the characteristic diversity and continuous updating as the program coordinator and in collaboration with the Dean of the College (School of International Studies) on a periodic evaluation of the program for modernization and development. In general, the program aims to provide educational materials varied and comprehensive and advanced students program in American studies to introduce them and teach them most of the fields of knowledge for the United States. In addition, the program provides, on a quarterly basis and lasting, professors, specialists in American Studies and U.S. universities to support the program the highest academic level and at the best can be provided for students.

1. To provide graduates with an intensive period of study in which to learn about relevant academic disciplines of the department in a systematic and disciplined manner. Moreover, it will prepare students to pursue a variety of professional careers and for further research such as PhD programmes.
2. To ensure that students have a solid grounding in both the major theoretical aspects within the relevant disciplines of the department as well as the major trends and developments in the academic domains of the departement.
3. To develop students’ research skills to enable them to carry out independent research at postgraduate level.
4. To provide students with a broad range of courses within which they can pursue their interests in the relevant programmes of the faculty.
5. To employ the scientific expertise of Jordan University and to attract national as well as international academic expertise in order to enhance the scholarly conduct of the faculty.
6. The rapid development in knowledge claim is an additional motive to establish a library and data base for the relevant academic disciplines of the faculty.
7. To establish academic and scientific co operation with domestic, regional and international counter parts faculties and centres.
8. To promote the department  and attract national, Arab and international post-graduates students.

The Department of Political Science seeks to provide students with a learning experience that will equip them to face the challenges of an increasingly complex job market and prepare them to become active and engaged citizens at the local, national, and international levels. The political science program provides students with a broad-based political education that is grounded in the field’s theoretical traditions. This includes a strong background in the fundamental branches of our discipline:Jordanian politics, comparative politics, international politics, political theory and public administration. Political science students acquire practical experience and develop connections in the community through a variety of legal internships. Our extracurricular activities, such as the Political Science Society, help students become engaged in local politics. Students gain abilities to critically assess contemporary political events and identify practical solutions to social problems. Political science majors develop analytical and methodological skills that will serve them well regardless of their chosen profession.
