Within the framework of
the project "Capacity Building of Personnel in Jordanian Olive
Industry" that is funded by the European Union, seven distinguished trainees visited
university of Granada/ Spain for one week. The selection process of the
trainees was based on the set criteria determine in the first management meeting.
It was agreed to follow specific criteria where the age of trainee should be
less than 40 years, relevance for education and English or Spanish proficiency,
relevance of job experience; the ratio of female in the selected group should
be not less than 50%and were employed in the partners’ institutions. They were
provided training by visiting the olive consultation companies and
laboratories, and olive and pickling milling companies and trained on olive and
olive oil analysis methods.
