Trainees (seven) visited UGR, Granada for one week (12/3-18/3/2017).
One of them got a delayed visa; therefore she accompanied the contact
person of JSSEF during her visit to UGR later on to get training
(1/4-9/4/ 2017). During the visit, the trainees visited olive
consultation companies and laboratories, and olive pickling and milling companies; trained on olive and olive oil analysis methods.The trainees express their appreciation for the training they got.

Contacts with the Holiday Inn, Al-Oula (Service Company) and the
interpreters were signed in preparation for conducting the final
workshop. The program of the final workshop was set, the flyer was
prepared and distributed, the presenters (internal and external) were
invited, printing materials and the theme were designed. The content of
proceedings booklet was gathered and revised. It was decided to hold the
workshop in 24thApril 2017 when the project was extended for 6
months.Video recording, photographing and signatures of the attendees
were collected. Disseminating materials: leather folder with solar
calculator, memory stick (8 G), pens, and notebooks, the flyer and the
proceeding booklet were distributed on the attendees during the final
workshop.
- In the next day
(25th April) of the workshop, a technical visit to Al-MANASEER Olive
Mill Company, organic olive farms and olive farms at Jarash and alAzraq
areaswas conducted to take a closer look at the live trees frosting
problem that happened in 17 Nov 2017. The total numbers of visitors were
25.
- The final meeting
(26-27th April) was held at the Department of Nutrition and Food
Technology of the University of Jordan in the attendance of Dr. Mehyar
Ghadeer, Dr. Chartzoulakis Kostas, Dr. PsarrasGeorgios; Prof. Favati
Fabio, Dr. Nenadis Nikos in behalf of Prof. Tsimidou Maria, Dr.
Rodriguez Celia in behalf of Prof . Segura-Carretero Antonio, Prof.
Rababah Taha, Prof. AL- Absi Khalid, Dr. AL-RousanWalid, Ms.
DaghmishRuba, and Eng. Al-Momani Samar. The agenda of the meeting was
prepared prior to the meeting and sent to the contact persons of the
partners. During the meeting, Dr. Mehyar gave presentation on the
achievements of the project, prof. Rababah, Prof. AL-Absiand Dr.
AL-Rousangave briefings about the established laboratories in their
universities. The final report was reviewed and the financial reports of
all the partners were overviewed.

Following the final meeting, the minutes were sent to the partners for
approval. Partners were also asked to send missed documents and a
progress report for every six month of the life time of the project.
Partners asked the coordinator to send their full financial report by
the end of May 2017 so as to allow enough time for the external auditor
to work on the financial report of the project.

The second part of the survey study (after the training assessment) was
presented by Prof. Alsmael in the final workshop of the project in his
presentation entitled “Some chemical characteristics of olive oil of the
Nabali cultivar growing in Jordan”.
- The website of the project and the final workshop were updated as requested in the final meeting.
- The visit of Dr. AL-Rousanof Al Balka University to UNVIR/ Verona in the period 29/4-4/5/2017 was supervised.
- Financial issues of the partners were followed up in preparation for finalizing their financial reports and auditing.
- Preparation and editing the final report was performed as discussed and suggested in the final meeting.
