Introduction
The Cerebral Palsy Registry in Jordan (CPUP- Jordan) is a confidential, population-based collection of information about people with cerebral palsy in Jordan. The information is held in a secure database and is non-identifiable. This will be the first national registry in Jordan and in the Middle East for people with cerebral palsy.
Mission
This population-based register for people with cerebral palsy will serve the purpose of prospective longitudinal data related to the etiology, demographic, functional levels, medical and rehabilitation services provided for children with cerebral palsy in Jordan. The CPUP Jordan registry aims to connecting persons with cerebral palsy, as well as their families, to a network of regional researchers.
Vision
The overarching vision for the CPUP-Jordan is to prevent secondary impairments that might develop with children with cerebral palsy and enhance the participation and quality of life of people with cerebral palsy and their families. This registry will eventually improve the quality of medical services provided for people with CP and connect health professionals who are involved in provision of services for people with cerebral palsy.
