Mutah University

Mutah University was established on March 22nd, 1981 that a royal decree accorded the approval of a law stipulating that Mutah University be established as a national institution for both military and non-military higher education at Mutah in the Al-Karak Governorate. This approval came as an incarnation of the will of the Late King Hussein Bin Talal, [May Allah Bless His Soul], to erect an excellent academic institution in the southern region of the dear homeland. Today, Mutah University sits on the apex of a pyramid of real achievements. It has been so lucky that it is always under the care of His Majesty King Abdulla the Second. The University is treading confidently into the next decade according to an elaborate strategic plan focusing on prospective fields of knowledge and embracing programs culminating in knowledge economy. Today, the non-military campus of Mutah University, which was established in 1986 comprises 15 faculties colleges and three deanships. The military campus is comprised by The Military College, The Police Academy, Princess Muna for Nursing, The College of Military Leadership, The National Defense College and Prince Hassan College for Islamic Disciplines.
