The University of Jordan (UJ), which was founded in 1962, has grown to become Jordan’s largest and leading university excelling in pedagogy, research, and innovation and advancing in global standing, it has offered a wide choice of academic programs for students who can choose from more than 250 Programs from 24 schools in various disciplines. UJ offers 94 bachelors in different programs in Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, Rehabilitation Science, Science, Agriculture, Engineering, Information Technology, Art, Business Administration, Sharia’a, Educational Sciences, law, Physical Education, Arts and Design, International Studies, Foreign Languages, Archaeology and Tourism. At graduate level, UJ provides 38 doctoral Programs, which represent more than 50% of doctoral programs in Jordan, and 111 master programs, which represent about 25% of master programs in Jordan, 16 higher specialization programs in medicine and one in dentistry, and 3 diploma programs. Since its foundation, the number of UJ graduates have exceeded 200,000 graduates around the world, and UJ’s employment reputation is 267 worldwide according to QS World Universities Ranking 2018. UJ is not only looking to reach the highest level of excellence, but it is also trying to apply the principles of total quality management and to use the latest information technologies in its programs and strategies. The University of Jordan has achieved advanced positions in various international rankings: UJ is one of the best 600 Universities worldwide, one of the best 10 Arab universities, and it has recently achieved 4 stars according to QS. In addition, UJ has gained many international accreditations for its programs, such as medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, engineering, rehabilitation and other disciplines. The “School of Engineering” at the University of Jordan with its new name (past Faculty of Engineering & Technology) is committed to excellence and development of innovations in engineering, applied sciences and technology. Since its foundation in 1974, the School of Engineering has followed its clear goals to bring together the fundamentals of applied sciences, the power of engineering imagination, and the high quality of teaching. Our school provides real educational opportunities by discovering new knowledge, participating in many research disciplines, and graduate smart engineers for a challenging future. The School of Engineering is the largest faculty at the University of Jordan with a number of students close to 6,000 attracted from the top high school students in Jordan guided by Specialists faculty members. These students are distributed over eight academic departments which include: Architecture Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Mechatronics Engineering. The programs include bachelor, and masters programs. Engineering college enjoys excellent reputation of graduating high calibre students who proved themselves in the academia as well as in the private and public sectors. In addition to its academic obligations, Engineering college extends its services to the community through the participation of its faculty in community councils, committees, and conferences in both public and private sectors. The college is also housing numerous industrial and research entities such as Industry Outreach Unit, KADDB Research Laboratories, Faculty For Factories program, and Industrial Partnership Council.To maintain our high level of teaching quality, the School of Engineering adapted the ABET accreditation policy for three B.Sc. engineering programs (Chemical, Electrical & Mechanical engineering) and the rest is underway. This is because we have already achieved remarkable success in education and research and we intend to maintain and build on it. The Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in 1978. Since then, more than 1000 mechanical engineers had graduated. The department graduates are spread inside and outside the Kingdom. Many of them finished their post graduate degrees and are appointed in well recognized research and academic positions. The department has 26 faculty members who are experts in their fields of specialization. In addition to teaching, the faculty members conduct high quality scientific research which is published in high ranking scientific journals. The department hosts six laboratories for practical applications to accompany the theoretical material of the curriculum. The undergraduate program accept about 100 students each academic year. Beside the undergraduate program the department offers Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering. The Mechanical Engineering Department witnessed a qualitative improvement in the last few years. Two master programs were established in cooperation with the European Union through the TEMPUS program, namely: Master of Science ( M.Sc.) in Renewable Energy, and Master of Science ( M.Sc.) in Environmental Engineering and Climate Change. Although the engineering programs offered at the School of Engineering are accredited by the Accreditation Council of the Ministry of Higher Education, the Department of Mechanical Engineering recently attained accreditation from Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET). ABET is internationally recognized as a self-sustained system of excellence in undergraduate engineering education. This accreditation applies for the graduates of the years starting the year 2015 and through the year 2021. The mechanical engineering department is seeking to achieve the vision and objectives of our university in teaching; research and community services.

Mutah University was established in1986 in the southern part of Jordan. It is the oldest and largest one in the south of Jordan. It has two wings (military and civil) on the same campus. It has 14 faculties including 58 academic departments and two deanships in the civil wing and two major academies in the military wing (Police and Military academies). The number of graduate and undergraduate students currently enrolled at the university exceeds 50,000 students; were 20% of those students come from more than 50 countries, with more than 700 faculty members. In 2011, Mutah University has begun to make its mark in the QS World reputation. In 2016 it gets three stares. One of the most active centres among these centres in the Energy Centre, Dead sea studies and water which are involved in all activities related to energy. Mutah University has been involved in many activities related to renewable energy activities on national and international levels. Besides the research activities in different aspects on renewable energy systems; solar thermal including CSP technology, PV, wind energy and bio-energy, Mutah University enrolled in several international activities such as four TEMPUS project (MANSUR, MUREE, TAJ & JOINTS). Also, MU involve in seven Erasmus Plus projects (SEM-SEM, Invent, VTC, MED-HEALTH, E-Green, CCSAFS & FOODQA). Three master program and three centres based on these project established. This means that the Erasmus plus and Tempus projects are added value to the Mutah University. Also, MU involves in many grant research. Mutah being a grant holder to the Promoting youth employment in remote areas in Jordan project no. 598428 KA2.

Al-Balqa Applied University (BAU) was established on 25 March 1997 as a public university by The Royal Decree on August 22 of 1996. The first academic year began on 1997/1998. BAU is a member of the Higher Education Council in Jordan and a member of the Federation of Arab as well as Islamic and International Universities. BAU is focusing on high-quality applied education and technology to provide stimulating competitive environment for creativity, innovation, research, development, and leadership achieving sustainable development and a knowledge-based economy on applied university and intermediate university education. BAU includes (18) intermediate college and university colleges, six colleges -faculty- at the university center in Salt, and twelve other colleges- distributed across most of governorates of the Kingdom (such as Princess Rahma University College, Al- Hosun University College, Ajloun University College, Princess Alia University College, Aqaba University College, Amman University College, Irbid University College, Zarqa University College, Al- Salt College, Karak College, Ma’an College and Shobak College) . The University awards certificates in the academic degrees: intermediate university degree, bachelor’s, higher diploma, masters, doctorate degree and an associate degree, with a capacity of 50,462 and about 150,902 graduates. At the level of the master's program there are(11) majors, (2) in the professional diploma, (52) at the bachelor's degree and (117 ) at the level of intermediate university certificate . BAU has the following faculties: Medicine, Applied Sciences, Engineering, Technological Agriculture, Planning and Management. The faculty of graduate studies has many master programs such water, agriculture and water management and desalination engineering.

Applied Science Private University (ASU) began its education on 19/10/1991, after obtaining the license on 10/7/1989.It is the first university in Jordan to receive the Quality Assurance Certificate in Education, Scientific Research and Community Service - Golden Level. In addition, it is the first private university in Jordan and the Middle East to receive a QS 4 star ranking issued by the QS Rating, evaluated according to education, scientific research, faculty efficiency and the employment rate of the graduates. The American Engineering and Technology Programs Accreditation Authority (ABET) has approved all five engineering programs that are subject to evaluation in the College of Engineering, and thus will be the first engineering college among the private universities that have received international American accreditation. The University provides its students and the community with training courses offered by the Center for Studies and Consultations in cooperation with distinguished training centers with international credentials that link theory with application. The University provides scientific laboratories with the latest equipment, which number has exceeded 160 laboratories. In addition to the workshop rooms, operators and drawing. The total area of the university buildings is about 11,600 square meters. Approximately 5862 students are currently enrolled in the University. They belong to approximately 53 Arab, Islamic and foreign countries. The number of majors taught by these Faculties is 31, at the bachelor level, in addition to 7 Masters Programs; the number of faculty members for the academic year 2018/2019 is 216 members, including 175 members holding a PhD. The number of scholarship offered by the University is standing at 137, offered to students seeking to obtain a PhD degree from American, Canadian, British, Australian and other prestigious universities.

The goal of the Technische Hochschule Ostwestfalen-Lippe (University of Applied Sciences and Arts) is to tackle complex problems and global challenges and work to ensure that knowledge and innovations benefit society. We provide education and research in engineering, economics and management, life science technologies, design and construction. The Institute Industrial IT (inIT) carries out research in the field of industrial informatics and industrial automation for cyber-physical systems. The InIT is located in a science to business centre (Centrum Industrial IT) on the Innovation Campus Lemgo, where more than 200 engineers from companies and research institutes are working in the field of industrial IT. The University of Deusto, a HEI of over 125 years. It is a non-profit university, with 11,000 students, of which 15% are international. UD combines a high level of internationalisation with excellence in teaching. It is remarkable for its capacity to combine many contrasting elements: local roots and global challenges, historic awareness and concerns for the future, leadership engagement and social commitment, intellectual rigour and experience-based learning, competition and cooperation, tradition and innovation. UD is one of the 18 universities accredited by the Spanish Ministry of Education as an International Campus of Excellence since 2015. The NTUA is structured according to the continental European system for training engineers, with an emphasis on solid background. The valuable work of NTUA and its international reputation are due to its well-organized educational and research system, the quality of its staff and students, and the adequacy of its technical infrastructure. The primary institutional component of the NTUA’s mission, effected through the integrated complex of studies and research, is to provide advanced higher education of outstanding quality in science and technology. The main strategy of NTUA in the current millennium, is not only to maintain its position as an outstanding and internationally recognized public university of science and technology, but also to strengthen that position as regarding all its basic operations. The Vehicles Laboratory of NTUA deals with the structural analysis and the dynamic behaviour of vehicles, their suspension systems, four wheel steering system as well as electric and hybrid vehicles. It supports core and master courses in the field of Mechanical Engineering and Ground Vehicles, providing laboratory exercises to more than two hundred students annually. Furthermore, provides the students with the ability to conduct diploma, master and postdoctoral thesis. Additionally, the Vehicles Laboratory participates in research programs and provides services in the Domestic Construction Industry of Vehicles and Constructions. The Vehicles Laboratory, handles also the research area of Road and Rail Transport of Dangerous Goods (ADR/RID), while the Ministry of Infrastructure, Transport and Networks has set the Vehicles Laboratory as the Centre responsible for the Education and the Examination regarding Road Transports. For the provided services in the area of Vehicle's Technology and of the Road Transport, the Vehicles Laboratory is certified according to ΕLΟΤ ΕΝ/ISO ΕΝ/ISO 9001:2008.
