UJ, THE Discuss Cooperation

On the sidelines of THE Digital Universities MENA conference, the President of the University of Jordan (UJ), Prof. Nathir Obeidat, met with the chief knowledge officer of the Times Higher Education (THE) Phil Baty and its Europe & Middle East regional director, Nick Davis.
 
The meeting aimed at discussing possible ways of cooperation between the University and THE institution.

The two sides discussed the possibility of hosting the MENA Universities Summit 2024 at UJ, as the first event to be organised by the Times Higher Education in Jordan.
The meeting was attended by the Vice President for Quality and Accreditation, Prof. Inaam Khalaf; Director of the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Center, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Qawareq; Director of the Media, Public Relations, and Radio Unit, Dr. Muhammad Wassef; Director of the Center for Women's Studies, Prof. Maysoon Al-Otoom; and Head of the Accreditation and International Rankings Section, Njoud Al-Debei.

The conference was organised by the Times Higher Education (THE) in partnership with Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi during the period 12-14 September, 2022. Obeidat spoke about the position of the University of Jordan and its active role locally, regionally and globally, as well as its continuous pursuit of excellence in accordance with the best international standards.
