Tafila Technical University (TTU) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large town of Tafilah (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants) and established in 2005. This institution has also branch campus in Amman. TTU is officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Jordan.. Tafila Technical University (TTU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. At the present time, the university comprises 5 faculties with more than 12 departments offering 27 undergraduate programs, two high-diploma programs, 5 master programs and 12 associate-diploma two-year programs. TTU characterizes itself among other Jordanian public Universities in having a relatively small student enrolment (5462 students). TTU seeks to keep pace with the latest technological developments, develop technical programs, motivate research and applications, start new technical programs, increase the number of the technically informed faculty members and launch the scientific excellence centres and technical innovation. Furthermore, TTU seeks to prepare a generation that is capable of satisfying the community’s vocational, academic, industrial and cultural needs, and the requirements of sustainable development.
