The 2nd National Conference on Water and Energy Nexus

​The 2nd National Conference on Water and Energy Nexus Kicked off at the Dead Sea on Wednesday 15th of September, 2021 under the patronage of Prime Minister Bisher Al Khasawneh.


The two-day conference is organized by the University of Jordan (UJ), the Ministry of Water and Irrigation-Water Authority, and the Jordanian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.


Conference Coordinator and UJ professor of renewable energy, Professor Ahmed Al Salaymeh, said that this conference is a response to the emerging needs, opportunities, and challenges in the water and energy fields and aims to stimulate dialogue between the energy and water sectors in Jordan and transfer the best practices from Europe to Jordan and the region. During this event, the ECO-CAR project was presented among other projects​.
