The project, which is funded by the European Union, started in December 2013 with four European and five Jordanian partners. The project aims on building Jordanian personal in the field of olive and olive oil production and quality. According to work plan of the project several workshops were implemented in Amman, Irbid and Karak where two of Jordanian partners are located. Staff and graduated student exchanges between partners were performed throughout the project duration.
Olive mill and fermented pickling lines were purchased from the project and installed in Amman campus of the University of Jordan (the grant holder). The total amount of fund allocated for this project was 800,000 Euro distributed between partners so each one can perform its predetermined tasks, The project is expected to the the end of May 2017.
