The
minutes
1. Project
updates
Dr.Mehyar
reviewedthe following updatesto the partners
a.The invitation
letter for the IOC presenter was sent through the Ministry of Agriculture from
more than two weeks.Ms. Daghmish mentioned that she has a copy of the letter
and she will forward it to Dr. Mehyar.
b. The
installations and operations of olive mill and pickling lines are completed and
two videos about the operation of the two lines have been uploaded on the
website of the project.
c.The
trainees to visit Granada/ Spainarenow selected according to the last emailofMr.
Clivio and they are two professors and five agriculture engineers. They are all
employed in the partner universities.
d. The
financial reports of the partners. Prof. Tsimidou proposed. Mehyar to talk to
each partner separatelyabout the financial matters.
e. Abstracts
and CV for the presenters for the final workshop are all received and
evaluation or being sent for evaluation, except for Prof Favati and En. Al-Batsh
which have not sent yet.Partners agreed that it is the responsibility of Dr.
Mehyar to find solution of this issue. Partners also agreed thatProf. Tsimidou,
Prof. Segura Carretero and Prof. Chartzoulakisunder take the responsibility
about the content of their abstract but they could need revision for linguistic
problems.
2. Mr.Clavio’s email about the final
dissimilation meeting.Partners advised Dr. Mehyar to take the responsibility to
resolve budget issues for the dissimilation meeting.
3. Publishing the final workshop
proceeding in volume of the journal Grassas e Aceitas. Partners agreed proceeding to be
published in a volume by the project budget. Prof.
Chartzoulakis mentioned that there is no matter about the number of the papers
to be included in the proceeding book and paper ofposters can also be includedin
the proceeding. Partners also agreed
with Prof. Tsimidou’s suggestion that the coordinator will prepare an
introduction for the proceeding (3-5 pages) and to include information such aspersonnel
involved in the project, partners and major goals andachievements etc. andto also
include pictures.
4. Contacting the speakers from the
neighbor countries. Dr. Mehyar informed partners that she contacted two
universities in Palestine and some professors would like to participate in the
event but they want to get confirmation that the travel expenses will be
covered by the project. Prof. Chartzoulakisadvised Dr. Mehyarto ask them for
theCVand an abstract about their presentationsto see if they fit with the
workshop.
Prof. Tsimidou asked Dr. Mehyar to
look for other presenters from other counties like Lebanon, Egypt, and Turkey,
Morocco and Tunisiathrough their literatures and websites. Prof. Tsimidou informed
the partners that Prof. Segura Carretero have some connections in these
countries. Prof. Chartzoulakismentioned that if we cannot find someone to speak
about fertilization, he can find someone from ELGO. Dr.Mehyarmentioned that according
to the workplant, it is scheduledfor travelingfour people for the European
partners tothe final workshop and meeting. Prof. Tsimidouand Prof.
Chartzoulakis asked whether moreEuropean presenters from partners institutions to
attend and participate to the final conference and asked Dr. Mehyarto ask
Brussels if this is possible.
5. Document of the developed MSc.
program in olive subjects.
Dr. Mehyarasked partners to make a
decision if the documents of MSc. program arecompletedso as to mention in the
final report that the program is planned and implemented. Prof. Tsimidou asked
Dr. Mehyar to resend thesedocuments to the partners and to ask them to make
corrections and to make a decision whether or not touploadedthese documents on
the project website so asto attract the interest of the students
6. Other issues raised by the
partners.
DrMehyar said that she had not
received yet the final report prepared by Prof. Al-Saedand Professor Tsimidouinformed
her that this should be with Prof. Favati because all other European partners
have corrected it and forwarded it to him.Dr. Nenadis mentioned that he
remembers that he sent Dr. Mehyara file with research papers (belong to AUTH) to
be uploaded on the website. Dr. Mehyar asked Dr. Nenadis to resend the document
to be uploaded.
7. Setting the next appointment for
the monthly Skype meeting.
Partners agreed that the appointment
for the next meeting to be in Thursday 2nd of March at 9:00 Am Madrid and Rome
time and 10:00 Am Amman and Athens time.
