QS Ranks UJ First in Jordan, in the Top 601– 650Universities Globally

The University of Jordan (UJ) ranked first in Jordan and in the top 601-650 universities globally, according to the newly released 2022 QS World University Rankings.

QS Rankings are based on academic reputation, employer reputation, citations per faculty, student-to-faculty ratio, proportion of international faculty, and proportion of international students.

UJ ranked 286th in the employer reputation indicator, reflecting the quality of its alumni who, through internationally accredited academic programs, were provided the opportunity to master the skills they need in the labor market.

With regards to academic reputation, UJ ranked 346th. This position comes as a result of a strategy adopted by the university to attract and employ academics who have distinguished themselves in their fields.

In terms of the international students ratio, UJ ranked 388th globally, advancing 24 positions from last year.

The ranking assessed 1673 universities worldwide, of which about 78% were listed. Eight Jordanian universities were included in this year's edition.

UJ President Prof. Abdull Karim Al Qudah confirmed UJ's keenness to continue to improve its curricula, enhance use of technology, and increase scientific research output. He also pointed out that UJ seeks to make it in the list of top 500 universities.
