Advanced online training courses covered by the HEBA project grant and facilitated at European Universities on Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency to students from Egypt, Jordan, and Lebanon (June 14 – June 27)

The consortium of project partners in the Erasmus Plus “HEBA” project “High level renewable and energy efficiency master courses” offered intensive online trainings in areas related to energy efficiency and renewable energy to graduate students from partner universities. The partnering universities in the MENA region that drew from the European countries’ experience in energy efficiency and renewable energy are: Helwan University (HU), and Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) in Egypt, University of Jordan (UJ), and Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) in Jordan, and Lebanese University (LU) and American University of Beirut (AUB) in Lebanon.

The offered courses were:

1)      University of Innsbruck (UIBK), Austria. Energy Efficient Buildings Design and HVAC using several Software. This course was facilitated by Univ.-Prof.  Wolfgang Streicher and Apeksha Shandilya.

2)      Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH), Germany:   Practical course on biomass combustion, and emissions; facilitated by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Martin Kaltschmitt; Marvin Scherzinger; Dr. Isabel Höfer, and Alexander Beckendorff

3)      Sapienza University of Rome (UNIROMA), Italy: Energy Efficiency in Industry; facilitated by Dr. Katiuscia Cipri.

4)      University of Cyprus, Cyprus: Photovoltaic System Designer and Installer; facilitated by Dr. George Konstantinou.
